For starters – we have some catching up to do!
It’s been an interesting 5+ months for all of us… Initially, my hours were cut at my full-time job that had been supporting Pattern Play. I’d also been experiencing some financial strain already. So it seemed the universe was telling me to push pause. After some hard thinking, I decided to put Pattern Play’s Etsy shop on ‘vacation mode’, and check-in with the business (and myself).
In retrospect, I’m honestly grateful that I was forced to take a step back and re-evaluate things, because the Pattern Play I’ve come back with feels stronger and smarter than the one I launched with.
Let’s take a look at what’s changed! I could talk forever about my design process for this NEW Home Office collection. But here’s the ‘jist of things’:
- This will be the first of many seasonal products launches. Each seasonal launch will feature a line of 3-5 products tailored to a specific room in your home. The next product line will be released in September for FALL 2020.
- The products & patterns I used for the Summer 2020 Home Office Collection have all been heavily researched. I looked at design trends and selected products you would traditionally find in a colorful home office.
- I have worked even harder to include products at a variety of price points.
All of these steps are to create a better flow moving forward and products that have greater functionality + intention behind them.
Now, let me introduce you to the NEW Summer 2020 Home Office Collection:
- Striped Wall Art Print: My first printable product! I thought with the pandemic that this was a relevant solution. This print costs only $5.50! Purchase it on Etsy, download it, and print it at home (or via your favorite print service). It’s easy, and best of all affordable! The zip file includes 20 different print sizes ranging from 5×7 to 24×36 inches. So there is bound to be a print size that will work for you!
- Patterned Coaster Set: These are the same coasters as before, but with a fresh set of patterns! 4 coasters with 4 different patterns are included in the set. These are hardboard coasters with a glossy plastic coating on top. I chose hardboard because it’s more durable.
- Reversible Throw Pillow: My throw pillows have changed a little bit. I now offer a reversible cover option that features a different pattern on the front vs. the back. A reversible pillow cover was a request I received from multiple customers. This is also ‘just an option’. So if you still want one pattern on your pillow, and a flat color on the back, you can still purchase your pillow that way as well.
- Triangle Wallpaper: The wallpaper is pretty much the same as before. But I have included 2 different pattern options for the wallpaper (just for fun). You can purchase either a simple triangle wallpaper, or add some funtastic confetti shapes to the triangle design. The wallpaper is still available in 4 different sizes. I’m also now offering samples of the wallpaper; so you can ‘try before you buy’. The samples are pricey for me, so I’m offering them at cost!
- Abstract Floral Accent Rug: I’m very excited to offer accent rugs now! The pattern printed on this rug is a little bit boho, a little bit contemporary. Each rug is super soft and machine washable (hooray!!!).
